Nachhaltige Kultur des Female Leadership: individuelle Förderung und institutionelle Entwicklung
The project "Sustainable Culture of Female Leadership: Individual Support and Institutional Development" aims to support women in academic leadership positions and promote a sustainable culture of female leadership at WU.
Several initiatives are being implemented as part of the project: First, a coaching program for new female department heads who will assume their positions starting January 1, 2026. They will receive individual executive coaching to support them in their new leadership roles. Second, this coaching will be complemented by regular reflection sessions with representatives from Personnel Development and the Gender & Diversity Policy office. In these discussions, the experiences of the new leaders will be reflected upon, and the framework conditions and barriers will be addressed.
The third component of the project is a series of workshops aimed at female professors and female postdocs in tenure-track positions. The topics of the workshops are based on aspects identified in the reflection sessions. As a fourth component, targeted measures will be derived from the feedback of the target group to enhance the effectiveness of the initiatives.
By combining coaching, reflection sessions, workshops, and the derivation of measures, a continuous learning process is established that strengthens individual skills and promotes institutional learning.
