As part of the University Infrastructure Program, we are requesting the purchase of two high-performance GPU systems to strengthen research and teaching at the Vienna University of Economics and Business in the field of artificial intelligence (AI). These systems offer significantly more VRAM, which enables the efficient training of complex AI models and the processing of large datasets.
By introducing a fair access system based on a scheduler, we ensure equitable resource utilization for all researchers and working groups. This initiative not only promotes interdisciplinary collaboration but also positions the Vienna University of Economics and Business as a leading institution in AI research and teaching. Investing in this infrastructure will enhance the quality of research and increase the university’s appeal to talented students and researchers.
