Analysis of stress reaction mechanisms in plants

The goal of this project is to investigate fundamental molecular principles for the breeding of plants resistant to abiotic (e.g. heat, drought, etc.) and biotic (living organisms) stress.

Plants adapt to environmental conditions in various ways. The project at hand builds on relevant knowledge gained in diverse areas. Integrative processes going on when plants are simultaneously exposed to multiple stress factors are to be studied.
