University Infrastructure Programme

The University Infrastructure Programme initiative (UIP) is targeted at the nine universities in Vienna defined in the University Act of 2002. Its declared goal is to strengthen Viennese universities as sites for research, teaching and development of the arts by funding their tangible fixed assets.

Key evaluation criteria are that (i) the asset has a clearly understandable link to Vienna; (ii) the asset is highly visible with regard to the university and the City of Vienna; and (iii) the university contributes to the purchase from own or third-party funds.

Applications are accepted from the principals of the nine universities in Vienna during the submission period defined each year.
